David J. Sensenig

Dave has been representing and assisting businesses for more than 20 years with a focus on securities arbitration and regulatory matters, employment litigation, intellectual property litigation, and other civil litigation matters. Dave also assists individuals in matters such as general litigation, the preparation of wills and trusts, and personal injury cases. He brings extensive litigation experience and alternate dispute resolution experience to the firm.  In addition to his lead counsel roles, Dave also serves as local counsel in complex commercial litigation matters, including intellectual property and employment disputes.

Dave’s practice builds on the skills, knowledge, and contacts he gained over the past 20+ years as an attorney, including his work at well-regarded national law firms. He now competitively applies that same large firm sophistication in a small firm setting.

As lead counsel, Dave has extensive experience in numerous Virginia State Courts as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Virginia (“Rocket Docket”) and the Western District of Virginia. He has also represented clients in numerous other federal courts across the country, including California, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, Washington, D.C., and others. He has successfully handled disputes involving internet and trademark law, including disputes with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Throughout his career, Dave has prided himself on delivering solutions for his clients that match their particular business or personal strategies and goals. Whether representing an individual, sole proprietor, mid-size business, or Fortune 500 company, he always works hard to recognize his client’s goals and strives to achieve them.

Dave graduated cum laude (McNeil Law Society) from the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law (1997). He earned his undergraduate degree with a major in finance from James Madison University (1989).

Dave serves as a member of the Economic Development Authority Board for the Town of Bedford and serves as a Board Member for the Avenel Foundation.
